疫情之後，耀武揚威的繁複主義（Maximalism）退潮，取而代之的是更切合日常生活的極簡主義。Minimalism 的代表人物Phoebe Philo今年9月回歸，她所代表的知性風格也將一併回潮，在這個秋冬讓我們穿得像一個知識分子，展現內外兼修的品味與氣韻。

構思本期2023秋冬女裝特輯的初段，在芸芸眾多的潮流中，看到今季有很多品牌都參與了Preppy Style——叮一聲想到「校園風」不就是我們應該推介的潮流？經濟不景氣，精明的財經報章讀者絕不應隨便亂買衫；如果要買也應買一些長青的、容易搭配、每天可穿而不失時髦感的。然而，如果只叫讀者跑到美國那幾大Preppy寶號、買那些萬年不變的Ivy League校服，也未免太悶太掃興。於是在今期的造型故事中，我們想像我們的讀者更sophisticated一點，從學生進化成知識分子：穿Miu Miu的淺啡色Twin-set和戴Chloé粗框眼鏡看書；買咖啡時，用Fendi寬鬆西褲搭配藍色poplin恤衫和風衣（內裡是米色亮片），腳踏白波鞋；或者穿Brunello Cucinelli的茄士咩校服背心冷衫襯黑色閃片裙和打領呔——一種經過提煉和時尚化的Preppy美學。
