去年三月H Queen's開幕，怎樣改變了香港的藝術氛圍。有人批評畫廊市儈銅臭味濃，但今年Basel期間Gagosian辦塞尚、莫蘭迪和常玉」教育性展覽（展品全不作銷售），今回又有Hauser & Wirth辦The Sylvio Perlstein Collection，大費周章由老遠運來約200件收藏家Sylvio Perlstein的藏品，放滿兩層空間。展覽名作"A LUTA CONTINUA"，乃葡萄牙語，意即《奮鬥不息》，也是Thomas Mulcaire的一個展出作品。

展品全部不作銷售，只作教育用途。Sylvio Perlstein藏品頗驚人，此次展覽將展出112位藝術家的約200件作品，其中包括Josef Albers、Carl Andre 、Diane Arbus）、Hans Bellmer、André Breton、Marcel Broodthaers、Marcel Duchamp、Max Ernst、Robert Ryman、Fred Sandback以及Andy Warhol、Duchamp、達利（Dali）、Keith Haring等，當中最有名之一，應該是杜象的L.H.O.O.Q 1919-1964，他以鋼筆墨水惡搞《蒙羅麗莎》，替她畫上鬍子，是杜象在藝術史上留下的一大名作。

留意展覽中也有很多超現實主義作品，相當精采，攝影部份相當精采，被稱為二十世紀攝影的「藏中藏」，呈獻許多攝影先驅創作的逾80件攝影作品，包括Eugène Atget、Brassaï、Claude Cahun、André Kertész、Germaine Krull、László Moholy-Nagy、Diane Arbus、Henri Cartier-Bresson、Robert Doisneau、Walker Evans、Dora Maar與Man Ray。展覽亦將展出十二件曼·雷不同時期的創作，包括他的「物影照片」——這走一圈，儼然就像閱讀一本微型的現代藝術史。

Sylvio Perlstein 在巴西長大，50年搬到安特惠普，後又移居巴黎，如今生活在歐洲。60年開始他因工作常到紐約，結識了當地很多藝術家，當年藝術圈很小，人人都認識對方。他認識了Sol LeWitt、Donald Judd、Ed Ruscha等人。Robert Ryman說自己早年的畫沒有甚麼人注意，但Sylvio Perlstein購入了兩幅油畫，給予了他勇氣及鼓勵。Sylvio Perlstein的口味十分前衛，今天回看那些作品，依然前衛，他說：「我熱愛那些令我感到不安、好奇甚至是不舒服的事物。」
